Why this site exists

AskBibleQuestions.com exists to help people find clear, Scripture-based answers to real questions. We aim to keep things simple: what does the Bible say, and how should we understand it in context?

Every answer here starts with the text of Scripture and the world around it. We avoid jargon, we show our work, and we would rather send you to a passage to read for yourself than ask you to take our word for it.

Think of the articles on this site as living articles. We keep adding to them and refining them as we study further and learn what helps readers most.

Trust is earned, so here is exactly where our answers come from.

Scripture first

Every answer on this site is built on the Bible. Quotations use the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a modern, accurate translation that is dedicated to the public domain, so we can quote it fully and freely. Passages are cited so you can read every verse in context for yourself — we want you checking our work.

Careful study helps

Behind the scenes our writers use standard study tools — concordances, lexicons, and trusted commentaries — to make sure an answer reflects what a passage actually says, not just what we wish it said. Where an answer leans on a source beyond Scripture itself, we say so.

Honest about our process

Some answers begin life as an AI-assisted draft. None are published that way. Every answer is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and our review process is public. If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the revision.

What we are not

We are not a substitute for your local church, your pastor, or the Bible itself. We are a starting point — a place to get a clear, Scripture-grounded answer and the passages to study further.

How answers are reviewed

Every answer on this site goes through the same five steps before — and after — you read it.

1. A real question comes in

Questions come from readers, from searches people actually run, and from conversations in churches. We answer the question people are really asking, not a strawman of it.

2. Scripture is studied first

Before a word is drafted we gather the passages that speak to the question and read them in context. If Scripture is genuinely unclear or Christians have long differed, the answer will say so honestly.

3. A clear answer is drafted

Each answer leads with a short, plain-language summary, then walks through the fuller biblical picture with every passage cited. Drafting tools may assist, but no draft publishes itself.

4. A person reviews it

A reviewer checks the answer against Scripture for accuracy, tone, and pastoral care before it is approved for publication. Answers touching on grief, abuse, or crisis get extra care.

5. It stays open to correction

Published answers carry a review status and can be revised. If a reader shows us from Scripture that we got something wrong, we fix it — and we are grateful.
