2 Corinthians 8:7–8

⁷But just as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we inspired in you^a — see that you also excel in this grace of giving. ⁸I am not giving a command, but I am testing the sincerity of your love through the earnestness of others.
