Psalm 78:70–72

⁷⁰He chose David His servant

and took him from the sheepfolds;

⁷¹from tending the ewes He brought him

to be shepherd of His people Jacob,

of Israel His inheritance.

⁷²So David shepherded them with integrity of heart

and guided them with skillful hands.
