John 3:13–16

¹³No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven— the Son of Man.^c ¹⁴Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, ¹⁵that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.^d

¹⁶For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only^e Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
